When Using the Ecoer System with the EHK Electric Heat Strips, You now connect the W signal between the Outdoor unit and the W1 at the indoor unit. Everytime the unit in the heating cycle and the defrost is activated it will send a signal through the W to the Indoor's W1 telling the PCB to activate the heat strips in the unit
